  • 1 bunch kale
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 whole lemon

  1. Preheat an oven to 400 degrees F (204 degrees C).
  2. With a knife carefully remove the leaves from the thick stems and tear into bite size pieces. Wash and thoroughly dry kale with a salad spinner or napkin.
  3. Line kale leaves in a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Drizzle kale with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic salt.
  5. Cut lemon in half and squeeze it over the kale.
  6. Toss them in the sheet pan for more even seasoning.
  7. Bake until the edges brown but are not burnt, 10 to 15 minutes.

Kale is part of the cruciferous family of vegetables that can release a rather pungent sulfer-like aroma when baked. Nonetheless, the taste compensates for the smell and will leave you wanting to eat more!
